Shenandoah River: Go Kayaking, Canoeing, Paddle-boarding! Or head to the river to take a dip, go fishing or skip stones. Private river access/ Boat launch Drive to the town of Luray, home of Luray Caverns: 15-minute drive from cabin. Visit Luray Caverns, the largest cavern in the Eastern United States, and the Car and Carriage Caravan Museum in the same location. Visit the local wineries, brewery, quaint local tea/coffee shops and restaurants. Skiing in the area: Massanutten Ski Resort is 15 miles from cabin. Bryce Ski Resort is 36 miles from cabin. Although regular pest control measures are taken, the property's location near the national park and in the woods makes it more likely for insects to find their way inside. The most common insects that may be encountered are flies, stink bugs, and ladybugs. It is important to note that these insects are not harmful, and their presence is merely an annoyance rather than a threat. Note: River's Getaway is located on a mountain road. We had a great getaway! Lots of family time at SNP. Bobby’s home was clean and serene. We enjoyed cooking dinner on the grill after a day of hiking and utilizing the fire pit and hot tub. Thankfully it was a dry week - the gravel driveway would be tricky in bad weather. Just an FYI the game room is not attached to the main house and is the only tv on site - but made for awesome movie nights! We did use the fishing spot one morning at the bottom of the hill - the river is gorgeous. Thanks Bobby!

We enjoyed our stay at Bobby's place! The space was comfortable, ample, and had wonderful views of the woods and mountains. The hot tub was a definite perk and worked well. The kitchen was functional and had the basics of supplies ready. Bobby was also very responsive when we had questions.
