Mattis Mountain Getaway is located on a mountain road. While it’s on a flat gravel road please note that during inclement weather, such as snow or icy conditions, AWD, 4x4 or tire chains are required. For added precaution, we also highly recommend carrying tire chains, even if your vehicle has AWD or 4x4 capabilities On that note — although regular pest control measures are taken, the property is in the woods, which means insects may occasionally find their way inside. The most common insects that may be encountered are flies, stink bugs, and ladybugs. It is important to note that these insects are not harmful, and their presence is merely an annoyance rather than a threat. Most cellphone providers do not work in the area; however, we have Starlink internet and you will be able to stay connected during your stay. Also, we don’t want to kill the fun, but please; no smoking or parties are permitted. Finally, your well-trained furry friend is welcome here for an additional fee.

We loved staying in Bobby’s place. It was private, peaceful and matches the description. It was free of clutter and clean. Bobby had some great local recommendations. We would love to stay again if we are ever in the area.

We had three kids and four adults for a long weekend! We tried to use every part of the comfortable and well appointed home-but didn’t have time! We will have to stay longer next time! The fire pit and the hot tub make this a unique experience -we also tossed tied kids to the movie room after a long day hiking. We would definitely stay again!

It was a blast! Me and my boys stayed at the house for a night, We found this treasure hidden in the mountain. There was a 4-5miles gravel road Before the house, Drive carefully. But once arrives, you will realize it definitely worth it. Whole house was renovated, everything is same as shown in the photos. We Had hot pot, barbeque, and we did fireworks too! Very peaceful place, the Jacuzzi is amazing. Definitely recommended for a family gateway trip!Bobby is very nice and responsive, smooth check in. 5 star experience!

The house was great, and Bobby was super responsive. The firepit, hot tub, deck, and game room were all wonderful amenities, and the chairs hanging below the deck were super comfortable and a great place to sip coffee and watch bunnies in the morning! The description of the gravel road is LEGIT… possibly the windiest/steepest road I’ve ever been on. But RAV4 handled no problem. Lots of utensils and appliances in the kitchen, too. We mentioned to Bobby that it could use a few more glasses and dishes, and a window covering on the sliding doors because the sun shines in there in the afternoon, and he seemed to appreciate the feedback so hopefully those minor inconveniences will be addressed in the near future. Would stay again!
