This place was wonderful. If you have kids this is definitely the place. There’s penalty of games and activities for all. It is quiet and relaxing and not too far from the city( just in case you need to grab something). Ps. There’s also a beautiful pear tree !

Really nice place to stay! It was peaceful and tucked away but really quick to get into town. We enjoyed the downstairs area with the air hockey game and projector to watch movies. It was relaxing to sit on the deck in the mornings and afternoon and we had a few bonfires. The hot tub was nice and the lights that were strung up around the property gave it a nice ambience. Quick 10 min trip into town to get to grocery store, fast food, gas, etc. Luray Caverns is close by to check out as well as both Shenandoah State and National Park. We had a great time!

I had an absolutely amazing stay! The host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect so welcoming, kind, and attentive to every detail. The space was spotless, beautifully kept, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Communication was fast and easy, and I truly felt cared for the entire time. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We were delighted to spend 5 days in this beautiful place. The scenery is stunning, and it was such a pleasure to enjoy the peace and quiet nestled in these mountains. Our daughters loved the home theatre and the various board games. Evenings by the fire, sharing s’mores and hotdogs, were a highlight. It was a wonderful stay, though far too short. The owners were very kind, courteous, and responsive. The house was very clean and well equipped.

Took a weekend getaway and the family couldn’t get enough of the amenities! The movie room with the air hockey table was such a huge hit! We played chess and soaked in the hottub and built many fires in the fire pit! Andrea and Bobby were super helpful, friendly and responsive. There is so much to do in the area and great food in Luray as well! We recommend Jax Mountain getaway over and over again!!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the cozy and private Jax Mountain Getaway. My kids roasted marshmallows, watched movies, and enjoyed evenings listening to the calming sounds of nature. The space was comfortable, peaceful, and had everything we needed to make our trip memorable. Our host was incredibly responsive and gracious, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.

We wanted to get away from the city for a week and decided to seek out a quiet place to relax but also close enough to hiking and adventure! This place was IT! We explored and hiked all day around the area and then came back for a relaxing evening around the fire roasting marshmallows and stargazing! Truly a wonderful retreat!!

Everything about this place was amazing! My kids were thrilled with all the entertainment inside the beautiful house, my husband and I enjoying the views outside overlooking the mountains while we had our morning coffee. We played air hockey inside, board games, puzzles, roasted marshmallows over the fire and enjoyed the jacuzzi in our down time from hiking and exploring Shenandoah.
